Anna is 11 Months

Dear Anna -

You are eleven months old today and I think this month flew by faster than any other.

You have learned so much this month.  You can throw a ball, eat with a spoon, and clap your hands.  You crawl and stand and walk with assistance.  You like to copy our noises and have learned how to ask for things, like 'more' or 'pick me up'.  Finally, you love to dance and cannot help but shake you butt if you hear any kind of tune.

I am now your favorite person and I secretly love it.  I am sure it is just a phase and I am sure it will end soon, but I love that you are always asking for me.  I do not love that you cry when I leave you at day care or hand you to someone else, though others can usually distract you and make you happy pretty quick.

You love to eat and you eat a lot.  We still give you pureed food, but you are getting better at eating real food as well.  Your favorites are peas, carrots, sweet potatoes, and any and all desserts you have tried so far.  You have stopped breastfeeding and are now on formula until we start on real milk next month.

This month you have picked apples and picked pumpkins.  You got to spend time with Nana, Gramps, and Gram and I spent my first weekend away from you.  You survived Hurricane Sandy and you get to wear your first Halloween costume tomorrow.

I have had so much fun with you this month Anna, and I cannot wait for all of the fun we are going to have over the next few months.

Love you,
Mom
