11 Things I Learned about Minnesota

  1. There are a lot of signs saying “Welcome, Canadians!”  I have visited southern New Mexico and have never seen a sign that says, “Welcome, Mexicans!”...
  2. They talk just like they do in the movies.  It is so hard to take someone seriously.
  3. The forests are beautiful.
  4. The lakes are even more beautiful.
  5. There is no sales tax on clothes!!!
  6. They have H & M.
  7. I think there are more Targets in the state of Minnesota than there are in the rest of the U.S.
  8. There are a lot of American Indian Reservations = there are a lot of casinos.
  9. The gambling age is only 18.
  10. The Mall of America is great if you have always wanted to shop, ride a roller coaster, visit an aquarium, and eat at a themed restaurant all in one day.  If you really like to just shop, its got nothing on the Galleria in Houston.
  11. Ice fishing is apparently fun...
